Zoongizi Ode (Formerly Fearless R2W) & Persons Community Solutions Ltd. has partnered to create the Community Safety Hosts Initiative; an alternative role to provide services in facilities that provide systems access (i.e. Public Libraries, Access Centres, etc).
- The CSH Initiative was created because the community Zoongizi Ode serves identified barriers when trying to access places like libraries, government offices, and shelters. Traditional security services are not trained to respond to trauma, sometimes leading to biases and preventing folks from accessing services.
- The role of a Community Safety Host is that of a Security Guard, and you would hold a Security Guard license, but you would be provided with additional training in trauma-informed person-centered practices.
- A Community Safety Host actively welcomes individuals, provides resources, guidance, and empathy, while also securing the space and ensuring the safety of the facility, staff, and patrons.

Criminal Record Considerations
- We are able to employ individuals with a Criminal Record, however they will need to be granted a Record Suspension before they can obtain a Security License. Eligibility varies based on time since the crime, as well as the severity of the crime.
